As manufacturers and suppliers of drain cleaners, hand soaps, engine degreasers, water repellants and more, MarProZep is the trusted name used in many hospitals, schools, municipalities and hotels. Our name also features in large industry like mining, trucking and others.
Our history
As one of the initial founders of the company, before it became known by the name it is today, David Petre, saw a great opportunity to expand and grow his chemical company that was started in 1976. He approached an industry giant in the US, known as Zep. This was the beginning of a remarkable and formidable union and gave way to our current company under the name of MarProZep. In 1991 we launched our very own paints company, Madco Paints, thereby creating yet more variety in our offering to clients. MarProZep forms a division of ColourCo Holdings. In 2004 we acquired our BEE status and have obtained a rating of level 2 as a BEE contributor.
